Common questions
Isn't one system worse at each thing?
Not when the records are the same: rooms, kit, tickets and products feed one customer list. Keep any specialist tool that is better.
I sell on Instagram and WhatsApp. Is this too big?
It is built for you. Keep the DMs; orders, payments and one customer list move to a real page.
I have a Shopify store already. Why move?
If the shop is all you run, you may not need to. Move when you also rent places, lend equipment, run events or split takings. Your product list imports from a spreadsheet.
Does it stop overselling?
Yes. The last unit goes to whoever pays first; the database refuses the second buyer.
Can customers pay by UPI?
Yes. UPI, cards, netbanking and wallets through Razorpay, or UPI through Cashfree. Guests need no account.
I run a hostel or coworking space. Does it fit?
Yes. Beds, desks, halls and bays are all places you price and publish for booking. Reservations are by the day; there are no occupancy or RevPAR figures, and rent is not invoiced here.
Can I track equipment?
Yes: issue, return, service history, depreciation, QR labels and stock-takes, with the holder accepting each item. There is no phone-camera scanner; a handheld scanner works.
Can products and workshops live together?
Yes: one basket, one payment page, one list of orders. A March ticket and a June product are two orders today, not one person.
Does it handle several outlets or franchising?
Yes: multiple stores, stock per location, franchisee logins, and recruiting from application to royalty per outlet. Collecting royalty runs through a conversation with us.
We back other businesses. Is this for us?
Yes: intake, a cohort view, and a walled-off space for each business. Portfolio-wide reporting is thinner than reporting inside one business.
What does it cost?
Starter is ₹0, a real tier rather than a trial. Paid plans and prices are on the pricing page.
Can I sign up and pay on my own?
Free accounts work today. Self-serve payment is switched off while we set up our first businesses by hand, so paying starts with a conversation.
Do you take a cut of my sales?
Not on ordinary sales; you pay the plan only. One exception, in our Terms: a Network Venture pays a joint-venture fee (5% unless the venture sets its own) before shares are worked out.
Will I get a GST invoice for what I pay you?
Our subscription invoice is raised by hand, with a serial number and one tax line. For your own sales Ojas prepares GST invoices, GSTR working, e-way bills and TDS; you or your professional files.
Who else can see my data?
Nobody. Each business is walled off at the data level, and you set what each team member sees.
What if it doesn't work out?
You take your data. Contacts, leads, deals, assets and products have export jobs, started through the API; orders have none. In practice you ask us and we run it.
Who runs on this today?
We do: Ojas Events, Ojas Legal and Ojas Loans. You would be among the first outside businesses.
I am not technical. Can I still use it?
Yes. We sit with you to set it up.
Is there a mobile app? Can it connect to my tools?
It works in a phone browser; there is no app. Outgoing webhooks and role-scoped API keys connect your tools, covering CRM, leads, contacts, attendance, events, assets and exports, though not the storefront and checkout core.
Do you file my GST?
We prepare returns, challans and certificates; filing to the portal needs an accreditation we do not hold. Ojas Legal connects you to a licensed professional, with fees quoted first.
